Last night....I've been thinking about my situation...I talked to my friend, Chissa and she told me..."WELCOME TO THE CLUB!" What in the world... she was just waiting for me to call her about the letter....She told me that she confronted the Nursing Admission Coordinator last month and she already knew that she won't make it this Fall Semester...She advised me to take several upper division classes with her while waiting....
Darn! I made two options last night...Go to Maric College and spend 30,000 for their associate in 18 months....or I can still make use of my financial aid at SDSU by taking other classes that will satisfy for another major (I'll be graduating with two majors)...I'm gonna leave everything to God..He definitely knows what is best...and everything will work for good...

I went and checked the status of my waitlist at Palomar College...Guess what... I felt better when I saw it!... Remember, I posted before that I am on the 237th spot??? There was 6000+ students who applied for the program! I'm  so lucky to get that spot!

*bangs head against the wall*

Aargh! I am nauseated....

Then I've been sick around 10 AM but I can't leave work! so of course I stayed til 4 PM...Got the mail that I've been waiting for couple of months...Bad news... Didn't get in to SDSU's Nursing School again!...This is starting to be hopeless...Probably, I'm not really a "nurse" material....Golly! I need to see my counselor as soon as possible....My alternate major is to become a shrink!

Major decision here....am I gonna give up nursing???? and pursue a biology course?????
I am also stressed out because we're going to buy a house....I can't promise my parents if I can share for the monthly mortgage because I also have to pay for my school fees....

*sigh*

I still got several greetings last night but I didn't get the chance to blog it....
For sure Andrea and Irish know what the heck I'm talking about....:p

Myk from PEx sent a text message...
Karla, my bestfriend made a long distance call to greet me...I hope she make it on December so we can see each other... New York or Georgia... it doesn't matter.. I will definitely see her!
My Lowlah Jary also called last night....I miss chatting with her...

Then this afternoon, Kai from PEx sent me a text message greeting me a belated happy birthday..

At work, they had a mini potluck for my birthday... Beenish, my coworker gave me a present! (it was an ornament for my rear mirror.

My target for next year is to travel....As soon as I get a new passport, I will go and visit different places...I hope I can meet someone by then so we could do it together.... I really wanted to go visit Europe...

Thank God for another year.....
This time, I realize how blessed I am with my life...I experienced a tough time these past two years and all I did was to feel sorry and be miserable with my life....God showed to me that eventhough I am so tough and stubborn, he's still merciful. He gave me a heart that appreciates. He helps me see things in a positive way....He's just great!

I want to thank everyone who greeted me and will greet me... I love you all!...

I wonder if I'm gonna be stuck at home for the whole day....
Anyways, I drove my Lola to my Uncle Jun's place to get her stuff...she'll be staying with us for a while because they're painting the house before my Uncle Ron moves in... Uncle Jun got a new place, a bigger house, it's good because they're going to have their third child soon... and Mahn..it's gonna be a baby girl...So in other words, I'm not gonna be the only granddaughter in my mom's side...It's cool coz I've been surrounded by guys for a very long time no wonde some people thinks I'm a tomboy... Hahaha! Seriously, some do...I guess that's what happen when you grow up with two brothers... LOL

Ok...still bumming around...

Is it okay to go on a date with someone who's undergoing divorce? *random thoughts*

I'm still cruisin' BABY! hahaha! I love driving now! I don't care if it's rush hour or not... I just wanna be on the road!

I still haven't got a call from the repair shop.. I wonder how's my car doin?

I received and e-mail yesterday from SDSU's Financial Aid office... good news! they adjusted my financial aid for this coming school year... I might go to school full time and probably if not admitted to nursing program, I'll be taking all the prerequisites for Bioengineering instead. They require me to take 12 units at least... But then I'm almost done with my upper and lower division GE's that left me only 3 units so I decided I better think of classes to take to satisfy the requirements... it's not gonna be my lost coz I also wanted to do research/disection more than taking care of patients...although it'll take me more than 3 years to finish my bachelors if I'm gonna shift. Oh well, I just need a sign and I'm ready to go for whatever that is... :)

I've been so busy these couple of days....
I dropped off my car at the repair shop yeterday...good thing my brother was home to drive me wherever. Then I went to Enterprise to pick up the car that was reserved for me... Darn it! It was a Nissan Altima! Sheesh! I am sooooo enjoying driving it right now...It rans so smooth!!!!!!!

We celebrated the 25th Anniversary of my parent's last night at East Buffet....It was just a simple family gathering with all my aunts and uncles....They sure do have GOOD FOOD there!...

After dinner, the youngsters (myself, jireh, asher, tin, didit, and ryan) headed to National city at  Dyan's place to go swimming... Deng! they have a huge house! It made me dream about mine :p We stayed there for couple of hours coz it's late already then went back to our place and drank Bobalicious....it was one tiring night I say.

BTW, my parent's present for me for my birthday was a laptop bag with this tiny cordless mouse, a retractable phone cord, and one more thing I forgot the name. hahaha! it was an early present! I was able to get a pair of these cute shoes, too! Thanks a lot Mumz and Dudz!

We watched I, Robot starring Will Smith....We were really aiming for the King Arthur movie but the showtimes didn't fit our schedule so we just went and see this one...An average movie I can say....well, seriously, I am not a fan of any science fiction movie. The graphics are really cool though. Most of all, it stars Will Smith which makes it so sexy! Hahahaha! He's the only Egot that I go crazy for! :p

One of the movies we rented last Thursday, The Eye, gave me partial goosebumps last night...good thing it has English subtitles coz half of my focus were on reading what the heck are they talking about.

My brother's gonna be home tomorrow night!

Ciao!

Wow! blogger is getting better! ...COOL! it feels like I am writing an email! LOL! Sheesh! it even checks your spelling! Marvelous! LOL

Checks coming in! checks coming out!

I talked to the other insurance agent regarding my recent car accident.. I am so thankful for the Estimator because he told me that "the Other" can pay for my rent-a-car and that's according to California rule! At least, I get benefits from living in this very expensive state! Anyways, I had a headache yesterday...it's not a headache headache...it's just that when I got the estimate regarding the damages, it gave me one because I have to pay it out of my pocket! and then later get that reimbursed...But the good news is...when I talked to their agent this afternoon, he told me that he's gonna send the check today with the amount and then if it's still gonna be more than that, then he's just gonna reimburse it....Also, he gave me a confirmation number for Enterprise Rent-a-Car so I can pick up the car after I drop off my Saturn to the shop next week... I still need to call the shop tomorrow though to ask them if all the parts needed for the repair are already in because the agreement about the rental is "they won't pay the time of delay in fixing the car because of unshipped orders"... I think I'll be driving a Ford Taurus for a while which reminds me of my very first car!

I can't believe that I have all this patience dealing with this situation...Maybe I learned it after my first collision....I can say that it's a really pain in the butt! but the least I can do is to face and just deal with it...*sigh*
I think I need a trip to the Philippines to make up with this kind of stress! LOL...

One more month! I am so happy because before the "ber" month starts, I'm gonna be "credit card" debt free! Oh I can't wait to enjoy my paycheck!!!!!!!!!! I promised myself that I will start saving! not that I'm not saving right now, but I'll be saving more! Woohoo! I can now buy my own house in the Philippines! Hahaha!

Okay, got to go now.......bye!

I am supposed to see a counselor at Maric College today about entering their RN program but out of nowhere I decided to cancel it...I've got a VM from AM Excellence regarding the estimation of my Saturn but out of nowhere I didn't call them back...I need to return all the DVD's we rented two days ago but out of nowhere I didn't do it....What the heck is wrong with me???? NOTHING... I am just a cute lazy gal that wants to sit around after a long day at work! This is me again....thinking when's the summer vacation over so I can go back to my routine of less work but more studying, surely, I am a geek!
It's halfway to the end of this month and I still have no idea with what's gonna be on my "backup if there's no nursing school available for this fall"....I just wish that the system here is somewhat like the Philippines... as long as you have the money, then you can go and apply to that school without the hassle of "the never ending wailist!"....
Enough of this BC's! this is just enough to give me a line of wrinkles if I will keep on going!

Have you experience laughing all day that your facial muscles started to become sore afterwards???? I had that experience during the second day at camp...I've been laughing and giggling, laughing and giggling...darn! it's unstoppable...then by the end of the day, I can feel my cheeks is soring!( is that a right term?)

Oh sheesh! I wanna visit the Philippines!!!!!

I've been busy answering phone calls from my insurance company and the other's insurance company.... My insurance told me that it's zero fault on my side... Well, nobody's gonna argue with that because once you hit a car on the rear, it's definitely your fault. Most of the people who heard about our accident, told us that the car is probably jynxed. Some told us to trade it in once it's fixed and then also change the color, they said, the color is not for me maybe...
Actually, my brother and I is trying to pick signs that MAYBE, just maybe that there's something behind what's happening....I don't know if these make sense but you're free to say what you think ayt! Here goes...The first accident involved my mom and dad, my dad is on the left side (driver's seat) and mom on the right...The second accident, involved me and my brother..he was sitting at the right and me of course on the driver's seat... then this last one, it involved all four of us...me( the driver -left side), brother on the right passenger side besides the driver, dad sitting at the left rear, and my mom sitting at the right rear....it's really weird! Something like in the movie Final Destination if you know what I mean... the patterns are really creeping me out....what yah think?

I'll be calling the shop who's gonna fix my car tomorrow...get the estimate and see how it goes...

I also need to distribute invitations for our party on Saturday.. it's gonna for my parent's anniversary and my advance birthday party too! :p...I'm just gonna do it electronically because I'm out of time....Oh well, I hope everything turns out ok...

Guess what????
Got into a vehicle accident again! yup! this is my second this year...
My family and I went to La Jolla Shores to celebrate the birthday of our churchmate...on the way home, someone driving a Honda Civic hit us on our rear...I noticed that they're tailgaiting me before the incident happened, I guess it makes sense why they suddenly bumped me at the back when I started to slow down to turn right at the stop light...Oh well, all I'm thankful for is that no one's hurt...
Everytime stuff happens, I always ask myself, Why does this happen?...My dad jokingly told us that we probably be needing to trade in our Saturn to a bigger car like an SUV. I can't believe that my car is only two years old and it already experienced three accidents....

There's so much stuff to blog about! let me try to remember each one of them.. :)

07.08.04 to present
My parent's 25th Wedding Anniversary! *applause* *applause* *applause*....We celebrated it at camp because that was also our first day at the Pacific Lighthouse Family Camp!!! Woohoo!!! I just wish that their love grows sweeter as the days go by! I am so blessed to have them as my parents.. I can't ask for nothing more.... :)

We arrived at Rancho Corrido Campground around 11:30 AM last Thursday... With the help of 3 more guys, we were able to put our tent up ...We needed those hands because we're having a hard time which one goes with which because we bought a very complicated tent! Hahahaha! Of course, after that we then settled in by blowing our airbeds and putting all our stuff in the tent....

Sessions were very motivational... it's all about the family but we were grouped in four...Daddies, mommies, kids, and youth.

In late afternoons, we had games, water gun/balloon fights, swimming, and playing for both old and young... these part of the day was my favorite! especially those water balloon fights!

At night, we have our devotion around the campfire... sing songs, contests and more board games!... Last night we had a contest on skits and extemporaneous speeche then we had some SMORES!!!!!!!!!!!Yummy! I had two!

So far, this is the best camp I ever had! I've been laughing our loud from morning til night! All the families that joined were filled with joy and laughter! Too bad, some of the families were not able to make it but I hope next year, there will be more families who can join us...

Nobody wants to go home already because this experience brought so much relaxation and more quality time with their families. As for me, I've been thinking that it's time to go back to the real world again. I mean that it's time to go back and face the stressfulness of everyday work. I can now totally relate on the American way of life...stuff like camps really helps people to get a break from everything. I feels like you are renewing your strengths so you have the power to overcome whatever awaits you on the other side.. you know what I mean? I really haven't spent "quality" time with my family since we got here in the US, but with the help of the last two days, I was able to experience that again....:)

Happy Birthday, America!
On July 4th, Americans celebrate Independence Day

The story goes something like this…

A group of settlers known as Pilgrims settled in a place known as Plymouth. The settlements grew and 13 colonies were established. Although the settlers original fled England to avoid religious persecution they found themselves under British rule.

The colonies struggled for independence and autonomy from the clutches of England for many years. England was far away and was unable to be actively involved with the welfare of the colonists. They did, however, levy heavy taxes on all products going to the colonies.

In 1767, England placed a tax on all tea used by the American colonist. The colonists protested "taxation without representation" and refused to allow the tea to be unloaded. In 1773, colonists dressed as Native Americans, boarded ships from the East India Company and threw 300 chests of tea into the Boston Harbor. This became known as the Boston Tea Party and the road to freedom was begun.

On January 10, 1776 the famous pamphlet Common Sense, by Thomas Paine, was distributed. It swept the colonies invoking a sense of pride and determination. The Spirit of '76 was born.

On July 4, 1776, Congress passed the Declaration of Independence. It announced to the world that "these United Colonies" are "Free and Independent States" and absolved their ties with England, thus beginning the war for independence. They had declared their right to "Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness."

Today Americans celebrate by flying the flag, cooking at home (usually a cookout, also known as a barbecue), and watching a brilliant fireworks display.

Hayayayayyy!!! I'm sooo bored!!!!

Got home from shopping and spent $$$...sheesh!
It's my friend's birthday today! Hazel who turned 21...She's happy because she just turned the legal age! and she said she can buy tons of liquors already! Thanks for treating us at East Buffet for lunch! Deng! they have good food! it's my first time there and I will totally recommend it! Thanks much!

I bought stuff I'll be using for tomorrow's event... We have our Land of the Free presentation at church tomorrow... I bought myself a white shirt and a pair of earrings...The earrings were so cute! it's a bunch of hanging stars! red, white and blue! I'll be all 4th of July-ey tomorrow...I don't know what to wear coz they told us to wear a white top with a red scarf or something... I am not a scarfy person and please for goodness sake! it's summer...so I decided to wear my white top with a printed red tie...kinda office looking gurlie hot chick with a low neckline! Hahaha! I'm kidding! erase very low neckline! I'm sure it'll look hiphop but this idea was from my churchmate who passed her cold to me last week...According to her, it'll show that we are the young ones! Hahaha! very silly gurl...I hope the "oldies" will permit us to wear this...well, we will see! :p

Dang! One of the best part 2 movie I've seen! Usually I find part two movies dull but this one isn't! I will definitely give Spiderman 2 four stars! Oh! you guys have to see it yourself to see what the heck I'm talking about! Fighting scenes were so cool and breath-taking!

As usual, my brother and I went to our movie hopping or I schould say sneaking in..:p...This movie is directed by Spielberg and we want to see if its worth watching in big screen!...Anyways, this movie was sooo hilarious! I was laughing so loud! I'm not embarassed because most people did the same! LOL...It's alright but I didn't like the storyline...Staying/leaving in the airport for 9 months is whack! Who would do that??? Catherine Zeta-Jones looked so good in this movie on the other hand...Oh well...that's just my opinion...

Back to the real world now...I cancelled my subscription at SDCCU.net because last night it pissed me off! I can't connect to the internet and it says that I have the wrong password...now, dying to use the internet, I plugged in AOL...My thing about AOL is that it's hard to disconnect your subscription...if you know what I mean...Their customer service representatives really makes you keep it and it's hard to say NO... I remember the last time I closed my account with them, that I lied that I'll be moving to Uganda for a missionary work and I won't be needing it no more! hahaha! luckily, I did it! so this time, if I decided to discontinue, I'll do the same!

Days go fast!...oh well... goodnight!

***It's JULY***

I have this stupid flu right now...grrr!

HOW TO STAY YOUNG

1. Throw out nonessential numbers. This includes age, weight and height. Let the doctor worry about them. That is why you pay him/her.

2. Keep only cheerful friends. The grouches pull you down.

3. Keep learning. Learn more about the computer, crafts, gardening, whatever. Never let the brain idle. " An idle mind is the devil's workshop," And the devil's name is Alzheimer's.

4. Enjoy the simple things.

5. Laugh often, long and loud. Laugh until you gasp for breath.

6. The tears happen. Endure, grieve, and move on. The only person who is with us our entire life, is God. Be ALIVE while you are alive.

7. Surround yourself with what you love, whether it's family, pets, keepsakes, music, plants, hobbies, whatever. Your home is your refuge.

8. Cherish your health: If it is good, preserve it. If it is unstable, improve it. If it is beyond what you can improve, get help.

9. Don't take guilt trips. Take a trip to the mall, to the next county, to a foreign country, but NOT to where the guilt is.

10. Tell the people you love that you love them, at every opportunity.

AND ALWAYS REMEMBER:
Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.
